Last night we went out to dinner with Demi's brother, his wife and some old friends we hadn't seen in forever and had a great time. All the ladies were asked what is the most romantic thing your husband has ever done? One of those put you on the spot questions that you hope you have the best answer. My thoughts first went back to when Demi & I first started dating. After each trip to visit him, there were a dozen roses waiting for me when I got home. But, I've been thinking about that question all morning and fill I need to give my Valentine a little more than that.
I think how we met and our courtship was all very romantic. He once had a poem written for me describing how we met that was just beautiful. Demi has always filled my life with wonderful surprises that have come from his heart. Surprise birthday parties, romantic dinners at favorite restaurants, sparkly gifts hidden in the Christmas tree, romantic weekend trips away, keeping the kids entertained so I could sleep an extra hour and bringing me coffee in bed, all things planned and done out of love.
So, on this day that some consider just another Hallmark holiday, I want to thank my wonderful husband for filling my life with love and romance that all began on that fateful flight almost 17 years ago.
