So November turned out to be the wettest here since the war! Only 2 days without rain-drops. Are we being tested or what??? My raincoat has never been so wet!

Last night we put up the Christmas tree and it really made me miss all our decorations and lights back home. On Thursday we went to see a house that does a ton of lights all around their property for people to come see for charity. It was really pretty, but you had to take a shuttle bus to get to the house and it rained the entire time. Harrison's hands were so wet and cold they were numb. I found out that leather gloves and rain are not a good combination. Guess I should have brought the ski gloves, at least my hands would be dry. Needless to say it did not get us into the Christmas spirit.
We should be moving into a house by the end of January. Found a really cute little bungalow with a flourishing herb garden, greenhouse, and even a little pool! Like we're ever going to need to cool off here in the summertime. It looks nice though and will be great when all of you come to visit ;o)
Lots of difficulties this year but so much to be thankful for.
Enjoy this Christmas season!
Hi Robin,
ReplyDeleteI am sure it is an adjustment having your holiday so different from what you are used to. Just remember that you are so blessed to have a healthy, happy family. Hangin there :)
I enjoy reading your posts so keep em coming. Is there anything I can send you?
Marcia
Hi Marcia,
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you! Yes, we are very blessed and things are going good. So thankful to have gotten our house rented too. Funny you should ask if I needed anything - I was just chatting with my Mom and asking her to send me cornbread mix and sweetened shredded coconut ;o) Ah, its the little things. Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas season!
Robin
Hey Robin - I thought you should know that we woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow on the ground and more coming..! Sherri drove up to the store - they are going to close for the day - and said that it seems like a foot up there...! Just so you don't feel so bad about the rain... :)
ReplyDeleteMartman
Hi Marty, OMG - I can't believe you all got 4 inches of snow! Think I'd rather have the snow than all this rain. I don't think we ever saw snow when we were there, typical. We miss you guys. Robin
