Update to our update...
I had my first experience with socialized medicine this afternoon. Had a call this afternoon that Harrison had an accident on the playground and hurt his arm. Our little tough guy was in a lot of pain and we thought he may have broken his wrist (not good luck on Friday the 13th). But, we took him to the hospital to be on the safe side. I filled out a form with basic details - name, address & phone number and we were seen by the doctor. Didn't ask for our insurance card (which came today) or money. Imagine that, seeing a doctor without paying a co-pay or giving cash up front? Anyway, they did several x-rays of his wrist & elbow and nothing was broken (Friday the 13th - good luck!). Probably just pulled ligaments or tendons. We're to keep an eye on him over the weekend and hopefully he'll be back up and running within the next few days. Boys will be boys.

Isn't that great? In Australia I spent the night in the ER on an IV of morphine, antibiotics, fluids, anti-inflamatories, etc. for double ear infections and I think I paid $40 US. :) Let's hope the US can follow Obama to get us there as well!
ReplyDeleteHope Harrison's ok! So great seeing you on the PC on Sat.
Love your blog!

Poor baby. Did it almost break it putting his socks on? It can be tricky you know. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen your kiddos before. They look EXACTLY like you!
Hope your keeping busy and I would love one of Robin's Gourmet Meals....

Harrison was fine after all, thank you for your good wishes. Of course, this was my first child to the hospital trip so I was a little leery about the process and was very glad when Demi arrived. But, they couldn't have been nicer.
ReplyDeleteIt was great seeing you on Skype, El!
Hi Amy... I miss all you ladies on Tuesday night! Thank you for keeping in touch and tell everyone hello next week!
